The Tropic Group of Companies started its debut in the 1970’s with the manufacturing and distribution of nut related products (roasted nuts, peanut butter, chocolate spread) under the Tropic brand and has become today’s household brand in Mauritius. The group evolved throughout the years and diversified in diverse fields from food, through textile and now jewellery. In 1990 with the vision of its Managing Director, new processing/distribution facilities for the production of frozen value added meals and snacks.

This business unit has well progressed and has expanded into trading of frozen fast moving consumer goods. A fast food outlet (now expanded to 3) was also set-up in the world famous Caudan Waterfront to promote our own products directly to the consumers.
